The Bags are packed .....

How excited are we down here in the cold southern states - spring officially starts tomorrow and the promise of some warm weather to come, after a very cold, wet winter. This magnificent flowering prunus tree is outside my kitchen window, and lifts the spirits just looking at it.

I'm off on a stitching retreat for the weekend.  Glenwillan homestead is a beautiful old  homestead now used for group get-togethers and is perfect for a sewing weekend - what luxury - sewing and eating all weekend lol.  My bag is packed, but think I have packed enough sewing for a fortnight. It is usually more talking than sewing, still one has to be prepared in case

A sneaky peak for Barb

I am enjoying participating in the santa sack swap with Gone Stitchin and my lovely partner is Barb. Just thought I would give her a little sneaky peak as this is the first time I have been able to do this - sorry Barb to be such a torment.

Not giving too much away.

Also finished another block in my Christmas stitchery from Michelle of Ragtag Stitching (one of my favorite designers) "Down Reindeer Lane". I always have one of Michelle's lovely projects on the go.

A New Project

Thankyou to all for your lovely comments and words of support on my new blog. It was very exciting to read those.  Today I find myself drawn to start a project from my lovely new book "Red Home" from Natalie Bird despite telling myself sternly that I already have many projects on the go.
